American Library Association Loleta D. Fyan Grant
The American Library Association offers several grant opportunities, and details these opportunities on its website (http://www.ala.org/ala/awardsgrants/index.cfm). One interesting opportunity was the Loleta D. Fyan Grant. Fyan was president of the ALA between 1951-1952, and bequeathed funds to the ALA with the intent that they be "used for the development and improvement of public libraries and the services they provide."This grant is given on an annual basis, is is worth up to $5,000. Applicants can include local, regional or state libraries, associations or organizations, or individuals.
